Crouching Public, Hidden Business
HELENA, MT AND SURROUNDING AREAS – Over the past month and a half, a recurrence has been taking place where local businesses have shuttered their doors. Current trends indicate that this “phenomenon” is nationwide and may or may not continue into the remainder of this year. Reports have indicated that the public should prepare to conduct no business practices and “hunker in place” until further information is declared (“Hunker” is a term meaning “to squat, crouch,” of uncertain Scottish origin, perhaps around 1720).
Any further indications of this situation will be monitored by the Observer during regular business hours which are 0am to 0pm and any details from the public can be left on the Observer’s website, where it will not be checked until the hunkering is over.
